Chicago Bears Madden '19 Ranking...…….

It's time to be excited again in Chicago. This isn't the year for the Bears, but it's the start. Head coach Matt Nagy takes over and his number one goal is to transform Mitch Trubisky. That won't be a problem. Between him and offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich, they know offense as like the back of their hands and are going to put Trubisky in favorable positions to light up the scoreboard. it just takes time. Nagy has inherited a team with some really solid pieces and leadership in key areas. He just needs more. But don't fret, he'll get them, but it's not an overnight operation. The Bears are going to be better than last season simply by taking a new approach and maximizing what the key assets do well, and then keep building from there. This season in Chicago will have a few games where they just don't matchup well and the score might not be pretty. Don't focus on that. Keep your eye on the games where it all comes together. That what the future will look like in Soldier Field for years to come. It's time to be excited again in Chicago.

CS&T/AA Take: The Bears were 3-13 in 2016. They were 5-11 in 2017. They should have beat Atlanta in the first game of last year's season opener where touchdown passes were dropped in the end zone in the last two minutes. They lost to San Francisco, 15-14, on five field goals at home when San Francisco's record was 2-10 and the Bears record was 3-9. They lost to Green Bay at home with Aaron Rodgers on injured reserve 23-16 and they let Minnesota and New Orleans off of the hook in 2017. Now it's a new day and a different attitude. A new coach has been brought in that can relate to young players. They have an abundance of speed and quickness, many young players got a lot of experience last year and some top level draft choices and free agents have been brought in to bolster the offense and Vic Fangio's defense just keeps getting better. They didn't know how to finish last year but it will be different this year. Experience is the best teacher. Our projection for the 2018-19 Bears: 9-7 or a very optimistic 10-6. Remember, Why Not Us? The NFL Fan & Brand Report for 2018.

Thanks to their meaning to pro football and their market, the Chicago Bears are instantly recognizable among NFL teams to even those most alien to the game of pro football. The Bears are No. 4 in fan equity and No. 12 in both social and road equity. With that said, the Bears could be a sleeping giant waiting to take over American culture, much like they did in the mid-80's. Should quarterback Mitch Trubisky end up being as advertised, the Bears could end up becoming one of the very top fanbases and brands in the next several years.

Bears schedule 2018: Chicago gets chances to establish itself a contender.

By Tadd Haislop

The Bears' 2018 schedule presents plenty of opportunities for Chicago to prove itself as an up-and-coming contender in the NFC. The home schedule alone features games against the Patriots and Rams, plus the usual slate of NFC North rivals.
In addition to the division games on the Bears' 2018 schedule, fans will want to circle the date of the showdown against the 49ers as Chicago's toughest road test. San Francisco, like Chicago, is ushering in a new era with a young quarterback and a relatively new head coach.
Below is a breakdown of the Bears' 2018 schedule.

Toughest tests: The aforementioned game against the 49ers will be a great test for the Bears in 2018, and if the Giants can bounce back after a dreadful 2017 season, they'll present another road challenge for Chicago. In addition to the always-tough NFC North games, the Bears' home contests against the Rams and Patriots will be key.
Biggest breaks: Speaking of those games against the Rams and Patriots, the Bears are fortunate to get them at home. The road games against the Cardinals, Bills and Dolphins — on paper, at least — are winnable. The AFC East draw in general is a positive for Chicago, with New England as always being the tricky exception.
Bottom line: The Bears and new coach Matt Nagy have an opportunity to establish themselves as NFC contenders in 2018, and their schedule, even with a few tough games throughout, is manageable enough for them to pull it off. Second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky's development will be tested by tough defenses at times, but overall, he and the offense should have opportunities to flourish. Record prediction: 9-7
CS&T/AA Thought: It's amazing when we find a prognosticator that agrees with us but we feel strongly about our conviction. Let's go Bears!!!!!
